Treat yourself and take a break from everyday life. With its unique charm Austria’s beautiful wine region “Weinviertel” is a real insider tip.

North-east of Vienna you’ll find Austria’s famous wine region. In the city of Laa an der Thaya, your apartment is located directly on the main town square overlooking the city hall, which was built on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of emperor Franz Joseph I. from 1898 to 1899 – no wonder that it is considered the most beautiful city hall in the wine region.

In the idyllic town you can easily reach supermarkets and shops on foot. And the best is that you can buy organic food straight from the farm around the corner.

At the sight of vineyards and sunflower fields you can leave all your daily stress behind. The Therme Laa – one of the most modern thermal spas in Austria – is just a 15 minutes walk away from your flat.

The region offers a wide range of activities for sports enthusiasts: The cycle paths have a total length of 750 km, some of them even take you cross-border to the Czech Republic. Also horse riding is a real pleasure amidst this stunning landscape. Or enjoy nature while jogging along the river Mühlbach.

Last but not least the wine region “Weinviertel” is well-known for its quality wine. It is Austria’s largest wine-growing region and has its visitors so much to offer: Enjoy a wine tasting or have a walk through one of the many wine cellar lanes. We recommend dinner at a traditional wine tavern.

From Laa an der Thaya it is about 50 km to Austria’s capital Vienna. The city can easily be reached by train or by car via the Northern Highway (A5).
